INTRO AND BACKGOUND
Heydricks Civils was set up to answer the need for an effective organization, which would best handle the construction requirements for roads, reinforced concrete structures, plant hire and earthworks as well as water, and sewer reticulation services in Kwa-Zulu Natal, the Eastern Cape as well as the Southern Cape areas (not limited to these areas). The company is able to offer cost effective production and flexible solutions for contract and construction requirements.
We are fully black owned and 50% owned by a woman with the necessary expertise, which entitles us to carry out the various contracts for which we tender or sub-contract and are also aware of our useful role in the provision of community upliftment.
Heydricks Civils was set up in April 2004 and specializes in reinforced concrete e.g. Reservoirs, low level bridges, culvert structures, bridges, water and sewer treatment works. We also specialize in earthworks and have done several road contracts.
The company has two members and twenty one permanent staff members each highly qualified in their fields. All Labour is hired from the areas in which our contracts are based.
a) One of the members has a National Diploma in Civil Engineering and a B.Tech in Construction Management.
b) The second member manages the office and has a Degree in Health and Social Science. Her duties include secretarial work as well as bookkeeping and HR. She also plays a key role in strategic planning.
MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT
Most of our equipment is owned by ourselves and if we see the need for more equipment to get a contract done in good time we will either buy or hire in additional equipment.
All our equipment is in good condition and not older than three years with low hours to make sure each job will be finished in good time and that no delays occur.
We own approximately 250 m² of shuttering and scaffolding to construct both radius and straight walls. This ensures good quality finish concrete which provides us with that competitive advantage over all our competitors.
